In using Google docs, you are able to create documents that you can share with co-workers, friends, relatives or whoever you would like to share the document with in real time! This tool proves to be very effective in the workplace due to it's ease of use. When you create your account and profile, you will go to a tabe at the top of the page labeled Documents and click. The page that appears will look like this:
You will then click on the red box that says Create and begin creating your document. Once you have decided to save and share your document, you can sit back and watch in real time as those you shared it with add comments, delete things that may be irrelevant, add photos, graphs, Jing images, hyperlinks and so on. I just created my first document and shared it with Professor Ken :-) I cannot wait to see what Professor Ken write back on it.

Linked In
Hi everyone :-)
I created my Linked In Account a few weeks ago and have been playing around with it for a little while now. I must say that I like the idea of it. It is definitely a place to go and check out the credentials of people you may want to hire for a position in your company and it is also a place to find a job if you are in need of one. I have connected with a few of my co-workers (including my boss) and some of my classmates from high school. It is interesting to read about what past friends are doing now in a business standpoint. If anyone would be interested in adding me as a contact, please feel free to search me on the Linked In website. My user name is Karin Morgan. :-)

Use of Mobile Devices in Business
After doing some research on the use of mobile devices in business, I have come to the conclusion that it definitely has it pros and also has its cons. Businesses tend to provide their management level and some under-management level with mobile devices so they may be in constant contact with each other during the workday. This proves to be a "pro" because in a situation where one is maybe in a business meeting or board meeting and they need to pull up information for the last 3 quarters of sales, at the click of a button, they could have that information.
If you take a look at the image I posted above, you will see that just about every business has "Do's" and "Dont's" for using mobile devices in a business atmosphere. It is in every company's best interests to protect confidential information as it could get into the wrong hands and this could cause serious damage to a company. The last thing any company would need is for confidential and highly sensitive material to get into the hands of an internet hacker or the like.
http://itservices.stanford.edu/service/mobiledevice/cellular I have posted this link so you may click to see what Stanford University is doing for their staff members and how the plan to use mobile devices collegewide. Do any of you think this is a good idea?
One major "con" to using mobile devices in business is simply this.. "When does business, stop being business?" I have seen and heard many people over the last few years complain about bosses and/or employees contacting them on weekends, holidays, after work hours and even late into the night with questions or concerns pertaining to business matters. One must ask.. "Is this completely necessary?" Everyone deserves and needs to have a life outside of the workplace and when that "life" is being invaded with telephone calls, e-mails and/or text messages from bosses or fellow co-workers, it begins to feel like business never really ends.
Though the use of mobile devices in business has a tremendous amount of pro's in this ever changing technological world.. it also has downsides.
